Grandpa's Birthday

My parents came in to visit with the C-man and since it was my dad's birthday, we celebrated with his favorite feast. A wonderful weekend with the Grandparents.

YMCA

Christina invited us to her YMCA pool on my very last Friday off. Another college friend and her two boys joined us too. But to top it off, my colleague (Beth) was able to pop in and visit with her favorite little man Colton. This Y outdoor pool was awesome. It had a giant pirate ship with slides and water coming out of it every which way. It was a little boy's dream. Colt was more interested in walking up and down the side of the pool carrying a toy he found on the sidelines. We swam a little, slid down the slide once, and enjoyed our last full Friday together. It was a fun day.

Shore Day with Aunt Charlene

Aunt Charlene & Uncle Charlie come to the Jersey Shore each year for an Aikido conference. Last year, Colt dipped his toes into the Atlantic for the first time with his Great Aunt Charlene. We took advantage of their visit again this year on one of my last Friday's off. We swam in the hotel pool and then went to Brigantine to check out the beach and ocean. Colt seemed to enjoy it. He sat in a little pool of ocean water, splashed around, ate sand, fed the seagulls, walked the beach, and got a little sun burn on the tips of his ears and back of his neck. We had a great time and look forward to September for our annual trek to Stone Harbor.
