Sunday Dinner with Pop Pop and Pat

One Sunday about 10 years ago, Brian's family invited me over for dinner. Brian told me his mom said, "As long as you are nearby, we should have dinner on Sunday together." We took advantage of that offer as much as possible, and I have held those words very close to me. While Mrs. Kenney may not be physically with us, having Mr. Kenney and Pat over for Sunday dinners makes me feel closer to her. If we could have them over every Sunday, we would - we know it would make Mrs. Kenney happy. It makes us happy.

Alverthorpe Park

It was a little brisk on this Sunday afternoon, but we couldn't stay inside anymore. We decided to go to a playground at a local park and play the afternoon away. Colton went down all the slides, played on the train, and of course...went swinging. If you put this boy in a swing, expect to be there for as long as you can take it. He wants to go higher and higher. faster and faster, and his giggle is absolutely contagious. We then went to a local diner and Colton stuffed every single bite of pancake in his mouth. If was a fun, family afternoon.

Buds

Our good friends -the Earharts - came over for dinner last weekend. We enjoyed a comfy dinner of pot roast, potatoes, and carrots. We had lots of wine, lots of good conversation, and the boys had fun playing with all the toys. I love capturing happiness.

Day Trip to Baltimore

One of my best friends now lives in Baltimore - a hop, skip, and a jump away from me. Kim, Ryan, and their two girls (Sophia and Molly) are expecting another member of the family in the next few months. Kim is on bed rest and is in need of some support and company to help get through the rest of her pregnancy. All local friends are trying to visit to help out where we can or just be there to share a little love. Picture is of Kim and Molly about a year ago.

Happy 5th Birthday Sydney

Our good friend's daughter turned 5 and we celebrated at Chuck-e-Cheese this past weekend. Brian and I enjoyed playing skee ball and basketball like we were 5 and Colton enjoyed exploring the place with his skee ball in his hands. Colton loved watching Chuck-E perform and danced when they told him too. It was a fun time for all. Happy Birthday Sydney.
