Babies on the Way

Melanie and Lauren are former colleagues of mine.  Melanie had a baby shower and is having a girl in February and Lauren is also pregnant with a baby on the way in June.  It was nice to catch up with old friends.

Girl Afternoon

Me, Kelli, Devon, and Katie
I got together with my Kappa sisters this weekend for some much needed girlfriend time. We went to the nail salon for manicures and pedicures and then enjoyed lunch together at Le Pain.  It makes me a happy person to spend time with good friends.

New Year's Day Breakfast

Jimmy and Dave came up from DC to celebrate New Year's.  We enjoyed a big breakfast at the Glenside Village Diner.  Happy New Year 2013!

Cousin's Party

Brian & his cousin Mary Pat
The annual cousin's party was at Mary Pat's house.  It was awesome as always and lots of fun getting to see everyone and eat up all the breakfast casserole dishes.

Comcast Show

Me and my Colton
Probably the best present this year was getting to just enjoy my time with the family - especially Colton.  It is actually really enjoyable to just sit back and watch your son enjoy life.  While my parents were in we went to the Comcast building to see the show and Colton loved it.  He screamed, "holy cow!" and jumped up and down.  A great holiday break indeed.

We had Christmas dinner at Bob and Mary's house.  It was a great time and a delicious feast.  The kids had lots of fun playing and Colton loved playing with all of Luke's new toys.  Brian got me an SLR camera for Christmas and this was the first time using it.  Still learning, but love how they turned out.

Santa Came

Brian was the first to come downstairs to see what Santa had delivered.  He then went out to get coffee for everyone, and while he was out, Colton woke up and wanted to come down too.  I held Colton hostage upstairs until Brian got home so Brian could see the joy on Colton's face when he came down the steps. We eventually got to that anticipated joy, but holding him upstairs made him so mad that he didn't even realize what he saw downstairs when he finally was allowed to come down.  Colton got two Thomas the Train characters, a little Thomas play tent and some extra tracks for his train set.  It was a fun morning.

Christmas Eve Celebration

One of my family's traditions is to have homemade raviolis and fried shrimp on Christmas Eve.  My mom brought the homemade raviolis and shrimp.  Rather than frying, we had roasted shrimp. It always is fun to cook with my mom and she reminded me how good her homemade sauce is.  We all enjoyed the dinner together and pulled off a timer photo opp (with Colton saying, "cheese!").
