Grandparents

My parents made an impromptu visit last weekend so they could set their eyes on the C-man and shower him with hugs and kisses. We had a nice time together and Colton loves getting to be with his grandparents. When Pop Pop stopped by, we had to capture Colt with all his Grandparents. Lucky boy!

Cheeseheads Win the Bowl

Bummed about the Steelers loss, but at least we had fun with the shirt. A good season, but they couldn't pull off the big 7th win.

Baby to Boy

Colton has had a full head of hair since he was born. He never lost any of it. But at 8 months, we just had to bite the bullet and trim his straggly locks. We hit a Glenside landmark - Ralph's Barber Shop and made sure Ralph himself did the deed. Ralph warned us that Colton wouldn't look like a baby anymore after his baby hair was all trimmed off. I was too busy taking pictures and relishing in the moment of another 'Colton first,' that I didn't really believe him. But within a few minutes our little baby was transformed into a little boy right before our eyes.

Swimming Playdate

Christina invited us to the Westchester YMCA to join her and Patrick in an afternoon swim on one of my Friday off days. Colton loves his baths so much, so I figured a larger form of a bath would go over really well. He seemed to enjoy it somewhat until I put his head under a fountain (he laughs when I put water over his head in the bath, so I thought he would like it). After that, he seemed to hate being in the pool - pouting his lip and crying. The top photo captures the essence of that second half of our time there. I later found out when we got cleaned off, that his diaper was filled with water and poop - so maybe that contributed to his unhappiness. I didn't get a swimming diaper because Christina said she never uses them. Next time we will use swimming diapers. Bottom photo is Colton and Patrick playing.
